Evaluation - 3. What kind of media institution might distribute your media product and why?

What kind of media institution might distribute your media product and why?

The most common media institution that distribute other media magazine products are mainly News Agents and high retail stores, like WH Smith and Waterstones. The media production that has been undertaken has been created in enable to fit into the same media institutions as real media products.

News Agents

A newsagent's shop is a business that sells newspapers, magazines, cigarettes, snacks and often items of local interest.
Magazines can be distributed through sales by newsagent's, bookstores; or through free distribution at selected pick-up locations.
Newsagent's would be a good media institution as many of the target audience visit newsagent's to buy magazine's, with the bold fonts, bright colours and the courageous key images would stand out to the rest, which would attract more of an audience.

                                                                                    Book Stores (WHSmith, Waterstones)

WHSmith plc is a British retailer. It is best known for its chain of high street, railway station, airport, hospital and motorway service station shops selling books, stationery, magazines, newspapers, and entertainment products.

WHSmith would be a good book store to distribute the production of fifty-one-fifty magazine, as it attracts a wide range of audience and is a very trusted company with great success.
Distribution Company

The distribution company that would be trusted to distribute the media production created, would be Future PLC. "At Future we base everything we do around clusters of like-minded individuals who are passionate about their interests. From video games to film, from cycling to music-making, we provide magazines, websites and events that inform, entertain and unite these communities. We share the same passions as our consumers."
